Tim Coffey Blossomwood Designs

I picked up a the Tim Coffey Blossomwood Mat Pack and a package of cordinating Die-Cut Cardstock & Acetate at Michael's several weeks ago, thinking they would make some nice, easy cards.  I made one card, and then set them aside and didn't return until tonight.

I turned to my faithful stash of sketch blogs, and was able to put together three quick cards that I love.  It always feels a bit like "cheating" when I don't stamp, but sometimes paper is enough.  I did use a couple of vintage Stampin' Up rub-on sentiments.  I wish there were more brown rub-ons available.

The first card uses this week's Sharon's Stamp Simply Sketch (does it get simpler than a rub-on).

The second one is this week's Unscripted Sketch.  I love the these Zva Creative Flourishes and the pop of the acetate butterfly.

The final sketch is this week's CardPatterns Sketch.  The chipboard embellishment is actually from Melody Ross' Artsy Urban collection, but I thought it coordinated perfectly with this Tim Coffey papers.  Ribbon is Martha Stewart Walnut Seam Binding.

Top5And I was thrilled to see my card in the Top Five at Get Sketchy!

Enjoy the weekend.

  1. Beautiful cards! I love the flourishes you used with the Unscripted Sketch, a big wow without too many elements. Thanks for joining Unscripted this week (and glad to hear we’re in your stash of sketch blogs!).

  2. What a gorgeous collection of cards! I always love what you create, but these are especially wonderful! Congrats on the Top Five pick, too – you deserve it! Little side note: I was perusing the “Cards” blog with last week’s challenge gallery, and your card was a definite standout (the one using Blush papers) – way to go!

  4. oh holy moly–these are sooooo gorgeous! i haven’t even SEEN those papers, but they are BEEEEAUTIFUL and yeah–they don’t need much to make AWESOME cards! (but then part of your skill is that you could immediately SEE THAT and not over complicate them like SOME PPL–ahem, me!–might well do!!!) 🙂 🙂 🙂
