This week's SCS Inspiration Challenge comes from a fun website suggested by arlybeans after a friend gave her several gifts from their store ~ Two Lumps of Sugar. I loved all of the fun color combinations and bright patterns.
My card was inspired by this Botany Collapsible Trash Can. I loved the pops of vibrant colors and black on the white background. I also thought it would be fun to incorporate the shape into my card design.
I started with a large piece of white cardstock & the lightest color of ink (light blue) and worked my way to the darkest color (black) using multiple images from Magenta (Swirls & Leaves), Hero Arts (Flourish Flowers, Wild Fairy Lily, and Silhouette Burst), and PaperTrey Ink (Turning a New Leaf).
I trimmed my page to the shape I wanted (trimming one side, and then used the piece that was trimmed off as a pattern for the other side to keep them equal) and then attached it to a card base. I finished with a B & B Rubber Stamps small butterfly adorned with some tiny light blue bling & a sentiment from Hero Arts Huge Hugs.
I hope you find inspiration.
My husband the random number generator picked 17 for the Sunday Stash Surprise:

Awesome giveaway ! Summer to me is a time for family and friends around the pool and simple easy finger food. I like to buy grapes, dip one end in melted white almond bark, and then into crushed peanuts. It looks like a little acorn, but tastes something like a taffy apple! I get an assembly line going the night before and "dip" a few pounds of grapes and set them into a bowl in the fridge. EVERYONE loves to pop the cold treat into thier mouth. Not too heavy and just the right sweet.
Thanks for the give away!
