Mailman Joe has continued to be very good to me this week despite working long hours in the bitter cold and snow (I can’t believe the weather people say another 1/2 inch of ice tonight followed by 6-8 more inches of snow for us … nothing quite like being under a blizzard watch to make a girl long for spring).
This darling valentine was from my niece Mimi. I love how at age two she already understands the importance of bling in her designs … and you can just never have too many hearts on a valentine.
And this lovely valentine is created by my friend Carla’s daughter Samantha (another budding 2-year-old artist). I love her bright colors and abstract design :^) and inside there is a darling photograph of her holding a big heart.
I love that in Finland February 14th is "Friends Day" – a day that close friends send each other cards and gifts. This beautiful postcard arrived from my dear friend Paivi. She had I have been friends for 23 years despite living half-way around the world from one another … I cherish her.
And my dear long-time friend Bonnie (who is also way too many miles away from me) sent me this gorgeous hand-embroidered handkerchief. The heart is a marvelous sparkly thread and the blooms and leaves are ribbon. I love it.
These fabulous Scrappy Cat stamps arrived from Wanda at My Creative Corner for my blog candy win.
I also received a school picture and note from my beautiful niece Jamie.
Yes, it was a good mail week indeed.
