Masculine Merriment

The newest prompt at Jingle Belles is Masculine Merriment. We’re asking you to create a holiday card for the men in your life … might be your Dad, Brother, Boyfriend, Husband, Uncle, Co-Worker, Mail Carrier or any other man in your life who deserves a special holiday card.

I make holiday cards for my large team at work, so I make lots of masculine cards each year. For this one, I chose papers from American Crafts Wrapped in Ribbons collection by Vicki Boutin. I think holly is the perfect masculine greenery for the holdiays.

I loved the elements in the center panel that work for a masculine design (that I framed with black cardstock) … the inky ring, spatters, torn paper edge and the graphic holiday tree made from strips.

I overlaid a solid black stamped Happy HGolidays Block sentiment by Savvy Stamps over one of the black strips on the tree and attached it with foam tape.
