Shell-abrate

There were quite a few water/ocean/shell challenges, so I took that as a sign that I needed to pull out some Ellen Hutson Essentials by Ellen Inner Mermaid stamps and play today. My first source of inspiration were the seashells at the Inspired By … Seashells Challenge.

I stamped the Mermaid Tail & Seashells on a Gelliarts print that had some metallic bits in it. After I die cut them, I sprayed them with Stamp Market Shimmer Ink Spray.

The I used a stitched rectange die cut on another Gelliarts Print that reminded me of water for the Addicted to CAS Water Challenge.

I chose a “shell” sentiment from the same set and stamped it on white cardstock to keep the design as CAS as I could (I resisted to urge to add some sparkly gems).

I’m also joining the Just Us Girls Anything Goes Die Cut Challenge. Any my “punny” sentiment qualifies for the Funny/Punny Challenge at the Simon Says Monday Challenge.

I also took insipration from the TIME OUT Prompts Challenge with my Stitched Die Cut Frame, Monochromatic color palette, and my CAS design.

  3. This gorgeous aqua card grabbed my attention when I first saw it in the gallery! The shells with the tail are genius, the TO PIck 2 words are checked off and that background wins in my book! Thanks so much for playing at Just Us Girls!

  4. Fabulous Stitched, Monochrome, CAS example Stef! Love that background and the tail and shell cups are such a clever way to depict a mermaid (and avoid colouring any skin)! Thank you for sharing your creativity with us at Time Out Challenges and I hope you will join us again soon!
    Hugs, Kate!
