Feather Sympathy & Birthday

When I saw that the Double D Challenge was Feathers, I used it as an opportunity to pull out my favorite hand-carved feather stamp by my friend Gina is Arty (she has her own book of art that you can buy if you’re interested).

I inked it in two shades of purple for the Simon Says Wednesday Monochromatic Challenge.

Since Gina K. Designs is the sponsor of the Simon Says Challenge, I used her Sympathy sentiment from Delicate Dahlias keeping it clean & simple.

While I had my favorite stamp out, I decided to use some more masculine colors from The Color Hues: Color Challenge – Navy & Teal.

This time I rotated my card to more horizontal and used one color for each stamped feather. I finished with a vintage Hero Arts Wood Block sentiment.

  2. How beautifully clean and simple your cards are! I love the artsy feather and the monochrome for your first card, as well as the near monochrome with the Color Hues combo. Thank you for sharing with us in our Feathers challenge at Double D!
