Tennessee Adventure

My husband and I are on a two week road trip cross country. One of our first adventures was a day in Jackson, Tennessee with my brother Mike.

We enjoyed this brand new mural by Samantha Wood, which was the perfect backdrop for my brother and me.

Here is the full view.

Since it was Memorial Day, there weren’t a lot of things opened, but we had a great time walking around and enjoying the public art and learning things.

I learned that Gil Scott-Heron was from Jackson, and we enjoyed his mural by Rose Newhouse.

We loved the Ginko leaves that were embossed into the molded drain panels in one of the alley ways (and after resisting Ugg’s for years, these Sandals are oh-so-comfortable).

This Alleyway Mural by Les MacDiarmid was in that ginko leaf alleyway.

We stopped into a The Velvet Volumes Used bookstore & picked up some David Duchovny fiction.

After our mural walk, we enjoyed visiting while we watched birds nesting.

We had a great day and are off onto our next adventure.
