Peace on Earth

When I saw this week’s Sketch at A Cherry on Top, I had a gold polka dot note card staring back at me from my studio table, so I decided to turn it into a card.

I liked the text, so I used a page from a dictionary that had the word Noel. Since I already had gold covered, I decided to add the other two colors from the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown.

I layered a strip of paper sprayed with green shimmer spray (from my stash) on top of a strip of kraft cardstock for the vertical sketch element.

I added a banner sentiment from Concord & 9th Classic Holiday Greetings using foam tape for dimension. I positioned it a bit higher than the sketch, so the word Noel would be visible underneath. The final touch were some green glittery YNS Gumdrops.

Since that was the first time using that sentiment set, I’m linking-up at the Something New Challenge at Simon Says Stamp.

And with all of that shiny gold, I’m linking-up at the Shine/Shiny Inkspirational Challenge.
