Each year I enjoy taking a walk down memory lane and picking my Top 10 Favorite Non-Holiday cards of the year (you can see my 2024 Picks & 2023 Picks Here & my Top Five Holiday cards here).
Here are the cards I’ve chosen this year in to no particular order.
1. I loved the combination of stamping, stenciling and ombre with this card I made with Cathy Zielske in the SCT Magazine With Love event.

2. I love when vintage woodblock stamps get to shine they they did on this fun Snoopy card for Amy Tsuruta’s Woodblock Wednesday.

3. This fun friendship card was filled with memories of the fun I had painting these fun little girls at Alabama Art Camp with my friend Bev … and those colors make me happy.

4. I just love how all of the pieces worked together on this card for one of the Pinkfresh Studios monthly challenges. Their coordinating stamps, stencils and die cuts make it so easy to pull a design like this together. I loved tucking the bits under and over the frame to create my design.

5. This was my favorite card that I made for the Lunar New Year Challenge this year. I love how the coloring turned out for all of the Lawn Fawn images, and how they came together for this cute little dessert/desert scene.

6. I was thrilled to be a Guest Designer for A Blog Named Hero with Hero Arts Saturday in the Park Challenge. I loved how this card with fireworks and a “slow motion rider” turned out

7. I made several Thanksgiving cards with the products from Concord & 9th for the Crop and Create Delivered Event, and I loved them all so much … the color combination, meditative process of cutting out and assembling (and how cute are those little acorns), and being able to send them to friends.

8. One of the best card making magical tools to me were layering stencils, like this Double Peony from Gina K. Designs … so fun to switch out the colors and to practice having a soft hand when applying ink (is anyone surprised that me having a soft hand is a challenge??).

9. I had so much fun Guest Designing for the Coffee Loving Papercrafters blog in December. I love Frida Kahlo, so this card was my favorite of the ones I made.

10. And another layering stencil card rounds out the top 10. This Cup of Cheer is so unique and offers up lots of options for a beverage card (if you leave off the ornament and add something else, you can switch-up the holidays).

Thanks for joining me for this walk down memory lane … it always reminds me where I’d like to focus my card making for the next year and helps me appreciate the blessing of having creative time in my life.
