More Gel Printing Fun

I did some more Gel Printing for the GelliArts #marchprintingchallenge this week.

GelliartsMarch

March 24th was Fabric.  I remembered a stash of Emergency Denim that Lauren had mailed me when I mentioned wanting to go to the thrift store to find some jeans, so that I could try printing on Denim.  Everyone needs a crafty bestie who will share their stash of craft supplies.

I put the paint on the plate, laid down Nathalie Kalbach's Van Vorst Stencil from Stencil Girl Designs, and then picked-up the paint with the Denim.  I then lifted the stencil and tried another Denim Print, but that one lacked detail I was hoping for.

However the texture that the Denim left behind produced an amazing paper print … can't wait to see what I can make with that beauty (that's why I just love the magic of gel printing).

Next one I tried was Sparkle.  First I pulled some prints using FolkArt Metallic paints.  This was actually the ghost print after a failed attempt at combining embossing powder with the paint (this paint wasn't open enough to stay wet).  The stencil is another Nathalie Kalbach from Stencil Girls Designs called Buenos Aires.

I used a foam stamp from my stash (I couldn't find the source) and gorgeous Sparkling Sand Embossing Powder from WOW! Embossing designed by Jo Firth-Young.

Since I still had fabric nearby, I used a piece of muslin to get this gorgeous print with the same Stencil.

I hope you get to have some artsy fun today.
