When I saw Anita's inspiration card at the Muse Challenge, I had an immediate idea in my head.
But as often happens when I try to create after a long day at the office, executing on that idea can sometimes be a challenge. I ended-up using my finger to smear the Distress Oxide Inks on my stamp to try to get the lovely blue/purple shades she achieved by sponging through a stencil. Unfortunately, when my technique involves inky fingers … it can take several tries to get an image stamped that doesn't have a smeary inky fingerprint somewhere on the white background. I used my MISTI to separately ink & stamp each section of the image.
To incorporate the glittery sparkle she achieved with spray through her stencil, I used Violet Wink of Stella over the stamped lipstick for some shimmer. Both stamps are from Technique Junkies (remember, you can use my code TJ10Stephanie for 10% off anything in the store … and the September release is 15% off through the 8th). The woman is Side Hat and sentiment is from the Typewriter Set.
I'm also joining the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.

Lovely!
Beautiful, love the shimmery hair! Great take on Anita’s card.
I love the tones you achieved on her hat, it’s a fab interpretation of my card. Such a stylish image with such little detail. Thanks so much for playing along at Muse this week, Anita x
What a clever way to apply your distress oxide ink to get the best results for your image. Love the CASeness of your card. Thanks for joining in the fun at the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
I love the streaky effect you achieved with the ink … gives texture and flow to her hat and dress.
This is so elegant and the effect that you have achieved in your stamping is great (and definitely worth risking the inky fingerprints)!
Clever way to apply your inks. Very nice design. Thanks for joining us at the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge. Marsha DT
