Technique Junkies September Stamps and Blog Hop

It's time for a new Stamp Release and Blog Hop at Technique Junkies.

This month I focused on Shimmering Bliss Sprays and four of the gorgeous new background stamps (seriously, they make the best backgrounds stamps).  Remember, you can use my Discount Code TJ10Stephanie for 10% off anything in the store (the store is also carrying the wonderful Versafine Clair Inks that I used for my projects).

I started by looking at each stamp and thinking about what colors I would want where on the paper.  For the new Wolf by Moonlight I wanted darker spray to ground the image and deep blues and purples for the night sky.

I used Chestnut Mare on the bottom and layers of Mardi Gras Purple and Dolphin Cove for the night sky.  I used my MISTI to position the image on the dry stamped background.

The sentiment in the sky is from Technique Junkies Simple Sentiments 1A.

For the next one I combined Iridescent Shimmering Bliss with a light sprays of Mardi Gras Purple & Gold for my Boo Convention Background.

I added a few googlie eye stickers and a sentiment from Technique Junkies Einstein Quotes.

For the next background, I combined Chestnut Mare, Just Squeezed and Smoldering Ash Sprays to get the look I wanted for my new Old Wall Background.  As I applied my layers of spray, I wanted it to be slightly darker where the bricks were showing through.

I paired my old wall with a sentiment from Technique Junkies Grand Greetings.

For my final card, I applied the sprays after stamping the new Autumn Leaves Background.  I used Fresh Squeezed for the background .. spraying a few more layers on the leaves themselves to get a darker orange.

I stamped the Thank You sentiment on a scrap of Festive Flamingo Sprayed paper … love how those colors work together.

I finished with a few bronze and orange sequins and matted the image on metallic gold paper before attaching to the dark brown card base.

Now you can continue on the hop and see lots more creative goodness.

  1. I love the wolf card [brought a song to mind!], the Einstein quote and that beautiful leaf card. Thanks for sharing.
