New York, New York

Yesterday I ventured from Iowa to New York City and spent the afternoon and evening exploring.

Nyc1

I love viewing the city from above … all of the people and cars flowing through the arteries.

NYC2

I also went to visit Gandhi in Union Square Park.

NYC3

A stop at Flying Tiger is a must … I found some cute tapes.  I also wandered through Fishs Eddy, Marimekko, and lots of other fun stores.

NYC4

I had a late lunch at Barn Joo … the sizzling rice bowl with BBQ eel.  I was a bit bummed that I was a bit too early for Happy Hour … as I was leaving, the place was filling up for $1 Oysters.

NYC5

I ended the day with my first-ever Broadway play … so fun and awesome to see Taye Diggs in the last week of this show's run.

I'm off for another day of exploration.
