Watercolor Wonderful

The Challenge at A Blog Named Hero is to Keep it New … I have so many fun new crafty things on my table, I decided it was time to break them out and play.

After hearing lots about the Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolors (aka enabling from my fellow creative souls), I added them to my collection … and everything I heard was true.  They are so smooth, creamy and blendy.

I wet a piece of Ranger Watercolor paper and started painting with blues … next I layered over a Hero Arts Tile Works Stencil (for the Simon Says Stamp Stencil It Challenge) and painted on some green.  The final step was to sprinkle on some new Tarnished Brass Distress Stain Spray (I told you … lots of new).  I used my heat gun and a paper towel to dry the paper.

While a lot of my cards are clean & classy, I do love getting painty and inky.  I finished with a new Hero Arts Stamp & Cut Thanks Set.  I die cut it in dark blue and then again in copper metallic paper and layered them slightly off-set to create a shadow.  I finished with a wrap of twine.
