Winter Wedding Inspired

I'm up late tonight & saw the Inspiration Challenge at SplitCoast Stampers and had to make a card.  I loved the silver metallic of this gorgeous Wedding cake design from Cotton and Crumbs.

One of the October Challenges at the Hero Arts Blog is to make a Holiday Card with the theme Mad About Metallics, so that was the direction I went.  As with the elegant cake, I went with a silver and white monochromatic design adding lots of metallic and glittery sparkle.

I started with the Hero Arts Tiny Star Backgorund in Silver on white cardstock.  Next I stamped Hero Arts Winter Trees in the same silver ink, this time adding clear embossing powder for a bit more shimmer.  I cut the square image into a circle to work with this week's Freshly Made Sketch (which brings in the circular layers of the cake)

I layered on several different metallic silver glitter papers.  I couldn't find a circle sentiment that I liked, so instead I layered some silver snowflakes on to a white circle for my smaller circular element.  I finished with sparkly star gems and silver sequins.

I'm also joining the October Challenge at A2Z Scrapbooking which is to create a card using Two Different Hero Arts Stamps.
