Primary Colors Birthday

I've been joining in at the February Photo-A-Day Challenge, and one of the prompts this week was Magic.  To me, one of the most magical processes of creating is heat embossing … the ahhh of powder turning to glossy raised surface.

I inked the Hero Arts DesignBlock Birthday with Red, Yellow and Blue ink and then sprinkled on the clear embossing powder, which is perfect for the Rainbow of Color Birthday Card Challenge at Hero Arts (love how the overlap of red & yellow make orange … and yellow & blue make green … another magical phenomenon).

All I had to add to finish was a punched birthday hat.

Here are a few of my other favorite photos from February.

This prompt was Details … the frosty ice on the inside of my detached garage window … it's been a bear of a winter, but there has also been great beauty too.

Vegetable … my favorite … Asparagus … always one of the first harbingers of Spring.

  1. So fab with those overlapping colours Stef and I totally agree about the magic of heat embossing! Love your photos too – I’m always wanting to join in with these! Vicky x
