I will confess … when I saw Julia's gorgeous Shabby Chic tag … I wanted to run. Shabby Chic is so not my style … and glitter actually scares me a bit (mostly because I'm a very messy crafter anyway).
I actually considered just skipping day 6 … but then I remembered one reason I love this hobby so much … because it pushes me outside of my comfort zone … because it encourages me to try things … and seriously, the worst possible outcome would be a glittery mess and a tag in the trash … not the end of the world.
So here's Julia's beautiful creation …
I started with a neutral paper tag base and stamped the Christmas Joy stamp from Stamp-It Australia's Believe Set repeatedly because it had a similar shape and a vintage Santa image like the one Juliea used. I stamped using Memento Luxe Olive Grove Ink and then sponged on some Crushed Olive & Brushed Corduroy Distress ink between the images to give it a bit more aged look.
I don't have any chunky glitter, so instead I used a 3-D glittered gift tag as my focal image. I did add some Prima Flowers that had chunky glitter as part of my floral cluster, so I'm giving myself points for that. At the bottom of the tag, rather than stitching lace, I used some adhesive lace tape and layered on Merry Christmas sentiment from the same Believe Set using more Memento Luxe Ink.
I added some sequins for sparkle and then finished with some red velvet rick-rack tied with sparkly twine at the top.
While I'm sure my tag won't be mistaken for one of Julia's masterpieces, I was glad I gave it a try … and actually ended-up with a tag that I love.
I'm also joining Stampin' for the Weekend where the challenge was to Use Some Red … and Our Creative Corner where they're celebrating a Very Vintage Christmas.

Pretty and feminine tag! What a sweet deer!
Great take on this tag! You did it with great style! Glitter scares me, too!
Like how you brought all of the elements together to create your design. Love this “mini collage” tag! 🙂
Gorgeous! I love how you made it your own!
