Joys of the Season

It is my bed time, but as soon as I saw this week's CAS(E) this Sketch I had a card idea … so I decided to stay up a bit longer and translate it to paper.  I'm in Iowa … so that rising flower in the sketch reminded me of the rising corn stalks I see each time I drive through the countryside.

I used my MFT Die-Namics Cornstalk Die on some DCWV green designer paper.  I added Mowed Lawn Distress Ink to green it up a bit more.

I tried several backgrounds, but finally decided on this DCWV texty designer paper because it reminded me of an old farm ledger.

And since Sweet Corn Season is indeed one of my favorite seasons of the year, I chose this SRM Fancy Christmas Sticker sentiment (and a few green pearls) to finish my design.
