Did you ever try to explain your paper crafting hobby to someone who has no idea what you do? I tried a few nights ago, but somehow I'm afraid I didn't do it justice … so I decided to follow-up by sending a handmade card to hopefully add more clarity.
Artistic Outpost stamps (this is from a set called Home) are always perfect for masculine cards … this one uses this week's sketch from The Paper Players.
The challenge also included using a recycled element, so I re-purposed a piece of a vintage Illinois map for my layout, and added washi tape & Lawn Fawn Hemp Cord to ground the design. I embossed the background with gears to add a bit of texture.

I'm also joining the Anything Goes Challenge at Artistic Outpost.

Awesome card…perfect way to explain the joys of paper crafting:)
What a great card! You have tied all of the elements together — the embossed gears background, the map paper, the sentiment, the stamp… Love it! Thanks for joining us at the Paper Players this week!
Neat, fun card! Like the emb bkgrd, recycled map and the washi tape “road” is cool, too. 🙂
Love this…perfect use of the image with the map! One of my favorite AO sets, by the way! Thanks for sharing it with us at the Paper Players!
Great use of the map, and how perfectly it works with the truck image. Thanks for sharing your creation and congrats on your win at The Paper Players!
