For this month's Flashback Friday 10.0, the fabulous Emily is asking us to re-post the very first card on our blog where we used stitching.
I had to go all the way back to October 2007 for this fun & funky flower design.
To make the paper flowers, I punched out a variety of circles from DP scraps. I wadded up each piece, and after I straightened it back out, I dabbed on paint with my Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabber in Red Pepper and Pool.
I layered the circles and then used my sewing machine to stitch them together. Next, I hand stitched the buttons to the top of the flowers. I finished the flowers with some velvet rick rack stems and a bow. The sentiment is a 7Gypsies sticker ~~ to thine own self be true.
So go through your blog archives and re-post your first-ever atttempt at stitching for faux stitching and join the Flashback Friday Fun.

Oh….I LOVE this funky card. I rather not go back that far and show my work from back then. Yours looks fabulous though!
Have a great weekend!
Hugs and smiles

Hi, Stef! What a lovely first stitched creation–wow, 2007? That’s going back quite a way, but this card has timeless appeal. I love the color combo and paint accents. Thanks so much for playing along with Flashback Friday 10.0!!! I loved seeing your first project featuring stitching. 🙂
