Graffiti Birthday

Beate sent me the suggestion for this week's SCS Inspiration Challenge  - Cox & Cox (I love it when my creative friends think of me and send inspiring sites my way).

Fiona Cox and Lizzie Thornton-Allan launched Cox & Cox Mailorder in 2001. Fiona’s background was in lifestyle photographic styling which led her to co-host the DIY programme 'Home Front' and Lizzie was a Film Producer in the music and commercials industry.

Cox & Cox embraces the heartfelt philosophy that it is possible to create a home that is both beautiful and practical, offering a fresh escape from the norm. The product range has influences from all over the globe and takes inspiration from childhood memories, but often with a contemporary twist.

My card is inspired by this fun Laptop Sleeping Bag.  I loved the graphic graffiti design & thought it would translate into a perfect birthday card for my younger brother.

I started with Cinnamon Black Foam Thickers spelling happy birthday starting from the left border and moving to the left on a 4"x8" white card base.

Next I started stamping my "graffiti" on the card using stamps from Hero Arts, A Muse, and CatsLife Press.  I also added a few elements from Thickers Subway Elements to finish my black & white design.

I hope you find inspiration.
