Another week of fun finds from blogland:
- I stumbled upon a bonanza of over-ripe bananas at the drug store this week … so I made this Cinnamon Chip Banana Coffee Cake that was scrumptious. I also made Banana Bread Cobbler, which was also a hit.
-
I saw our Michael's had left-over Halloween Pumpkins 80% off … here's a great tutorial for re-purposing one into a vase. - I love this pin-up wreath idea … a great way for displaying holiday cards or photos … and this DIY Fabric Wreath makes me want to head to the thrift store & look for fun patterns in the bargain bin.
- And how about lots of links to fun Christmas gift tutorials, Christmas decorations, and Christmas wrapping (love this Fun with Fonts idea for wrapping packages … she traced her letters, but this would be super-quick with a Silhouette or Cricut).
- Here are some links to Gifts for Hipsters … I really want that Shower Curtain done in shades of purples and blues.
- Growing up, my brother had pegboard on one wall of his bedroom, which I thought was the coolest thing … now I wish I had a wall in my house I could cover with pegboard now … love how she uses it to store ribbon.
- As I think about my favorite Thanksgiving foods, I realized I really miss my Grandma's homemade rolls. I've been thinking about trying my hand at baking rolls this year … these Lion House Rolls look delicious. I also love Cranberries & Apples, so this Cranberry Apple Crisp is calling my name.
- A great tutorial for turning vintage jewelry, game pieces, & buttons into classy push pins … they would make awesome holiday gifts for friends & co-workers.
- I love crafting ideas that make you look at the ordinary a whole new way … like turning honeycomb blinds into snowflakes (pictured).
- What a cute free little hand-written holiday card.
- I am coveting this amazing re-fashioning of an Ikea Besta.
- My mother-in-law tried to give me an old embroidery hoop this weekend when she was cleaning out & I turned her down … now after seeing this cool Tinsel Garland Wreath Tutorial, I think I'll go back and get it.
- This gorgeous scrapbooking page made me catch my breath … click on through and look at it close-up to take in all of the fabulous details.
Happy Thursday!

i love that texty holiday card…which…i can see using FONTS to make…and then using it as a background… (cause i’m not that talented…or minimalist, lol!) 🙂
the petaloo scrapbook page is indeed amazing: the little game cards around the edges…the drift of flowers and snowflakes…YUM! 🙂
(of course i am blithely typing all this and truly enjoying the links but *REALLY* all i can think is…banana bread pudding… banana bread pudding… banana bread pudding… banana bread pudding… banana bread pudding…” thank god i don’t bake…or have any bananas in the house… 🙂 🙂 🙂
