This month's Caardvarks Challenge is sponsored by SRM Stickers … and since my awesome World Card Making Day prize from SRM arrived in the mail this weekend, I knew I had to play along. The challenge was to CASE a sticker card made by one of the 'Vaarks Crew.
I chose Kelly's Spring Design as my inspiration. I loved the texty background with the pops of bright color.
When I was gessoing magazine pages for my Gesso Resist cards, while my brush was already messy, I gessoed several other pages, including a vintage book page, so that is what I used for the base of my design.
Rather than embellishing with flower, I stamped the Hero Arts Outline Flowers over the text in Shabby Shutters Distress ink. I incorporated the yellow from the design into my punched border.
And rather than one large pink butterfly, I incorporated an entire kaleidoscope (I love that a group of butterflies is called a kaleidoscope) of punched butterflies flying up the card. I also used a sticker from the same SRM Spring Set. I finished by adding tiny yellow adhesive gems to my butterflies.
P.S. Don't forget to check out the Halloween Blog Carnival going on at Craft Critique … lots of fabulous projects.

FABulous…love the butterflies!
pretty cards!
Gorgeous cards! Love how you incorporated the vintage book pages!!!
Can I ask about your butterfly punch? Is it a punch or die? I love the various sizes and haven’t come across any like that myself.
Butterfly punch is a Martha Stewart punch that punches the large butterfly & two small butterflies all at once.
Beautiful card! I love the pop of the red butterflies!
