We could not have ordered any better weather for our trip to Kansas City. Gorgeous sunshine … cooling breezes … perfect weather for driving with the windows down, sunglasses on, and the radio cranked … my face hurts from smiling … what a great feeling.

We ate scrumptious food including lunch at Ponak's (thanks Dawn), ice cream from Glace, and a relaxing supper at The Melting Pot.
We also had a fabulous time at Stuff in Brookside (super people and fabulous local artisan products … sorry no pictures allowed) as well as scoring some great deals on Tim Holtz products at Tuesday Morning.
I also found lots of art to inspire at the Nelson-Atkins Art Museum, particularly the photograph exhibit which included this fabulous portrait … love the overlay.
All-in-all, a truly magical day.
