Something Beautiful Remains

I wanted to make a card tonight for a friend who lost one of her canine companions she has had for many years.  I started with Max & Whiskers papers from Basic Grey, since they were dog-themed, but the papers with dog images on them seemed to happy for the occasion, so instead I used the patterned & solid papers from the collection.

The sentiment is from Inky Antics and the dog image is an inchie from Inkainkado's Dogs Life (that I actually punched with a 7/8" square punch to allow me to frame it).  I also used the Bracket Punch from EK Success and did quite a bit of sponging to tie it all together.  The sketch is this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch

  1. i love everything about this! (well, ok, everything except the need to EVER make sympathy cards!) but i think my very very favorite bit is the way you’ve used that fabulous bracket punch…it’s subtle…but it’s just the thing tie together AND soften all the right angles at the same time! ♥
