I have several co-workers who are expecting babies in the next few months, so when I was in Chicago, I searched for some fun new baby stamps. I found this great Small Beginnings Set by a new-to-me stamp company ~ Darcie's. I used this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch and the Basic Grey Challenge to use Brown, Cream & Turquoise.
I inked the baby carriage and sentiment with both Chestnut Roan & Aquamarine Chalk ink and stamped them on Ivory cardstock. I accented the carriage wheels with turquoise pearls. I used papers from Basic Grey's Whiskers Collection & also added Allison's Old Embossing Folder's Challenge. The turquoise panel is embossed with the Cuttlebug Diamonds in the Rough embossing folder and sponged with Chestnut Roan ink to bring out the design.
Oh my word Stef! What a way to hit all those challenges! Loving the Max and Whiskers here (I may need to pull mine out today!) and the embossing adds a fun touch to a darling card!
What a great stamp. Love the colours too 🙂
Stef, Love this card. The colours are great, rather unusual for this type of card, but I love it!
BIG hug!
I absolutely LOVE this! Awesome colors!
this is a real cute one Steff/ Nice to have something not too cutsie.
HA! that sentiment is awesome and i love the cool patterny pram–cute but not “cutesy” iykwim–and thus will work for a number of different styles! (but then i am sure that’s why you chose it oh wise purchasing one!) also diggin’ that cool “distressy” e/f…have to look for that next time i use a u-cut coupon! 🙂
