I had so much fun with the Etsy Inspired Challenge last week, I wanted to try it again. This week's inspiration comes from the shop of howbeadyful. I found so much inspiration, I book marked several pages, however it was the Little Golden Books Fabric Covered Buttons that inspired this card.
I have a stash of vintage children's books that are too far gone to be read by children, but still in good enough shape to provide some fabulous vintage children's illustrations to for card designs.
The image for my card comes from a book called Commander Toad and the Planet of The Grapes. When I saw this picture, I knew it would be perfect for a birthday card for my very punny Step-Dad.
I added a Daisy D Birthday Word Rub-on and two tiny stamped birthday cakes for Fall to Layout 93. Since the image was so large (card is 5 1/2" tall), I couldn't find a way to incorporate the text from the page, so I used it on the inside of the card.
I've always said my very favorite thing about making my own cards is always being able to have the perfect card for any person & any occasion.
this is such a cute inspired card stef-love the image and the sentiment
