Creative Paper Piecing

A friend sent me several stamped images of this adorable My Umbrella image from My Favorite Things.  I thought it would be perfect for some paper piecing, but then I realized that since I only had stamped images and not the stamp itself, there was no way I could stamp on designer paper … so I had to get creative.

Since I had multiple copies of the stamped image, I used one for a pattern.  I used temporary adhesive to attach the image to my designer papers, and then cut around each piece as a template.  After attaching the cut-out pieces to my base stamped image, I used a glitter pen to add back any lines that needed to show-up.  I colored the base of her coat & her hair with glitter pen.  The background is chalked with glimmer chalks.

Happy Monday!
