You Make Me Happy

I really love the new Basic Grey Origins paper.  My favorite things about Basic Grey are their subtle patterned paper that I can stamp on (there are great grid papers in four colors) and that sort of grunge distress look they do so well … this collection is full of both.  I used this week's Get Sketchy! sketch to create a masculine Valentine (they're going to give away the entire Origins collection if they get 700 followers).

When I was trying to decide on an image for my design, I saw this fun pocket from the Pocket Full Of … kit from Unity, and remembered the Stitching challenge from Just Us Girls.  Their is faux stitching on the pocket stamp, but I also added faux stitching to my patch (which I used scissors to fringe along the edges and my fingernail to distress).  I tucked two hearts from the kit in the pocket & finished with ruffled ribbon and copper brads on the pockets.
