The challenge at the Hero Arts blog this week is to combine stamping with Die Cuts. When I first saw these die cuts from QuicKutz, I just had to have them … and I think this may be only the second time I've actually used them to make something. They are cut from brown cardstock and attached with tiny pieces of adhesive foam for dimension.
The Hero Arts Love Letters are stamped in ColorBox Chalk Dark Brown on K&Company Smitten DP (the same DP I used for the background). I punched them with a 1 1/4" punch and then sponged the edges before attaching them to brown cardstock. The 'V' is highlighted with some Sakura Sparkle pen.
The sketch is from CPS, and the finished card measures 4" x 6".
For some reason, when I was working on this card the song Muskrat Love by Captain & Tennille kept going through my head … and now I can't get it to stop :^)
Fun, bright color. Great execution!
