This week's SCS Inspiration Challenge comes from a website ~ Design Dazzle ~ that features all sorts of design and decorating ideas for babies, kids, and teens.
My card was inspired by a fun set of Crib Bedding called Barn Mod. I needed to make a birthday card for my brother-in-law and this was the perfect inspiration for me. I was inspired by the color palette, the stripes, and the barn theme.
I started by stamping a piece of Basic Grey DP (from one of the holiday collections) with the CHF Bold Stripe backgrounder in Burnt Sienna to mimic the stripes in the bedding.
The farm is another stamp from the great Home set from Artistic Outpost. I stamped it in black on light blue cardstock and used a water-brush and chalk inks to add color to the farm landscape. I finished with gingham ribbon to complete the design.
