Footprints In Your Heart

050609-colors I used Kristina's Color Challenge #51 and Laura's Sketch #25 from 2 Sketches 4 You to make a birthday card for a very special friend.

I'll never forget how many years ago she invited me to join her at a Friday night crop at the local scrapbooking store.  I was just starting to scrapbook, but I was more fascinated with a lady who was making cards.  I clearly remember the satisfaction of designing and creating my first card … and since then, I've been hooked.  I never imagined what an integral part of my life card-making would become … and how much joy and satisfaction I would receive from the creative process.  I am forever grateful.

The rose DP is from a collection called A Family Affair by Momenta.  I added some swiss dot Cuttlebug embossing to my white circles … the white flowers are adhesive felt from K&Company with adhesive mustard gems in the center.  I finished with some brown wire antennae for my Hero Arts Heart Winged Butterfly and a sentiment from Heidi Grace with a favorite quote from Eleanor Roosevelt.

Speaking of quotes … have you checked out the amazing projects the Caardvarks Crew created with  quotes from Unity stamps?  They really out did themselves this time.
