This week's SCS Inspiration Challengecomes from an adorable Etsy store called Little Daisy Designs.
My card was inspired by this cute little Wild Fruit Apron Skirt. Of course, when I went to link to it tonight, it was already sold out of the store (something this cute couldn't be expected to last long).
It combined images (fruit and animal print) and colors (Raspberry Fizz, Ballet Blue and Pink Pirouette) that I never would have put together on my own … but I absolutely love the end result of my inspired creation.
The stamps are from a Hero Arts Sparkle Clear set called Designer Fruit. I lined all four fruits up on a clear block and then stamped rows of them. It was easy to cover an entire sheet of paper very quickly that way. I trimmed a square form the stamped paper for my card and colored the stems with green Prismacolor pencil.
The stamped background is called Fine Finials from Cornish Heritage Farms (the closest thing to an animal print that I had). I finished with the Designer Fruit sentiment and some swiss dot satin raspberry fizz ribbon.
I hope you find inspiration.
