Misted Daisy

Fs61wmToday’s SCS Featured Stamper is Kristi (Mommylvs2stamp) and my inspiration was her Basic Grey Embrace Life tall card.  My finished dimensions are 4" x 8" (perfect for a standard business size envelope).  Papers are by Scenic Route (I’ve got to put these away and move on to something else, but I also like using up all of the scraps).

I have quite a few Hero Arts "real flower" stamps tucked away that haven’t seen ink in quite some time.  I really love the pressed flower feel of this real daisy image.  I used Marvy Markers (Chocolate, Fresh Melon in the center and Real Red on the edges) to ink the stamp.  Then I misted lightly with water to give it a bit more watercolored effect. (I keep an empty stamp cleaning solution spray bottle filled with water on my work table.)

The photo corners are made with a square punch and the image is on thick pop dots for a bit of dimension.  I used my Xacto knife to cut a slit along the fold (just open the card flat and cut right along the seam), so I could wrap the sheer chocolate ribbon around the card front.

I used the Red and Chocolate markers to ink up my Hero Arts sentiments and added a couple of red gems to finish.  Thanks to Kristi for the inspiration.
