This week’s Caardvarks Challenge is all about Anniversaries. Show us your best Anniversary creation by midnight on Thursday for a chance to win some more great prizes from Queen Kat Designs.
My first Anniversary Card was inspired by this coffee mug I saw at Starbuck’s (photo from Susan Farrant’s blog). I loved the textured white hearts with the contrast of the one tiny red heart.
By the time I got home from Starbuck’s to make my card, I obviously forgot the placement of the heart, but I think I captured the same clean simplicity in my design.
I embossed a shimmery white cardstock with my Cuttlebug Hearts embossing folder and matted it on black and white. The QKD heart was stamped in Lipstick Red ColorBox Chalk ink on the same white cardstock and cut out leaving a white border. Then I matted it on black and free-hand cut around the heart again.
Check back tonight for some more Anniversary Love Fest creations.

I loved that mug when I saw it at Starbucks but I decided not to buy it since I never drink coffee at home only at Starbucks!! Love how you made the card to mimic the mug!! Super cute!
