Look at the adorable picture that arrived in my in-box yesterday. It’s my niece Mehilah (aka MiMi) wearing what was once her dad’s snowsuit (I love those Hello Kitty socks peeking out of the legs) and enjoying a rare Tennessee snow. What a ham.
I also altered the brightness in the photo using techniques I’m learning from an on-line photoshop class with Adrienne Looman. (I didn’t even know what the levels feature was for until today.)
This is the stamp set I received fom Queen Kat Designs for my Design Team work for the Caardvarks February LoveFest Challenges.
For my second Caardvarks Love Fest Valentine I stamped the solid heart image multiple times on My Mind’s Eye Tres Jolie Paper using Burnt Sienna ColorBox Chalk Ink. I trimmed around each heart leaving a DP Border. I unsed the smallest glue dots to adhere the center of each heart to more Tres Jolie DP and then using my Janome Mini, I stitched down the center of each heart, backstitching at each end, so I could trim the thread. I added the sentiment and attached the front to a Burnt Sienna mat, so the stitching didn’t show through the card front. Finished dimensions are 4" x 8 1/2".
Remember, Caardvarks will be having a new challenge every Friday in February, so you have until midnight on Thursday to get your Valentine link in the comments.
