Here are a few more photos from our weekend getaway. When we travel, we love to find little out-of-the-way, quirky sites.
We had supper at the Kickapoo Inn located in Readstown, Wisconsin where there was a painting of the restaurant hanging on the wall that had been painted on old barn wood.
You can also find Crazy Franks in Readstown, which was full of all sorts of interesting items.
In Dickeyville, Wisconsin there is an extensive grotto. I love examining all of the different materials used to build the structure. This one has everything from broken plates to seashells.
This picture was taken of us looking into one of the gazing balls at the grotto.
Lastly for this post are a couple more pictures taken from look-outs along the Mississippi River as we drove from LaCrosse to Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.
