We really had a great time at the Mississippi River Museum in Dubuque. I was particularly fascinated by the 100+ pound catfish. I had no idea they grew to be that big, nor that there were so many varieties of catfish in the waters.
These smaller herons were also fun to watch with their long pointed beaks.
There were a variety of other critters to be seen, as well as different interactive exhibits and the video biography of Mark Twain.
I was really happy with the pictures I was able to get through the glass using my SLR without a flash.
