I got to spend my Saturday morning doing several of my favorite things. It began with an early trip to the gym (well, maybe not my favorite thing, but I do like listening to mystery books on my iPod while I break a sweat) and then on to the farmer’s market, which was overflowing with delicious produce and locally-raised meats. After that, I got to spend time with lots of wonderful women making four fun cards at a Stampin’ Up card workshop hosted by one of my co-workers. These are my two favorite cards from the morning.
The first has a unique fold. The card front is folded back about and inch and a half. The floral stamped cardstock was attached to the card front, and the grossgrain ribbon was tied around the fold. Then I did some sponging and adhered the flap in place. The circle sentiment was mounted with dimensional adhesive on top of the new scalloped circle punch (love it). It was positioned so that the card front slips under the circle to hold it closed.
The second card features the new ‘in color’ Purely Pomegranate paired with rich regal colors. I just love those bright little presents all lined up in a row, and the double stitched ribbon is so so pretty.
Card #1 recipe: More Mustard, Very Vanilla and Chocolate Chip cardstock; More Mustard and Chocolate Chip Dye inks; 5/8" Chocolate Chip Grossgrain ribbon; Seeing Spots stamp set; circle punches and Scallop circle punch; dimensional adhesive.
Card #2 recipe: So Saffron, Taken with Teal, Elegant Eggplant and Whisper White cardstock; Taken with Teal, Purely Pomegranate, Elegant Eggplant, and So Saffron Die ink; Holiday Blitz, It’s Your Birthday and Paisley Background; Purely Pomegranate double stitched ribbon.

Those are both really pretty!
