When There Are No Words …

All losses are hard … but some seem a bit harder than others.  For those, I'm always grateful I have this Outlines Stamp in my stash. Layout is The Crooked Stamper Sketch Challenge.  I flipped it so I could feature the birds in the beautiful paper from DCWV Timeless Type Stack.

Wood & Cork Sympathy

When I saw the Wood & Cork theme at the Challenge Up Your Life blog, I knew those were the perfect textures for a masculine sympathy card I needed to make. I combined two cork designs from DCWV's Cord Stack using this week's Retro Sketch. At A Blog Named Hero the challenge is Make the … Read more

Farm Window Thank You

I wanted to create a card combining the colors from the colourQ Challenge and the Sketch from The Paper Players.   I tried several of the color combinations for the card base, but nothing was working … then I remembered the Texture Me Challenge at Shopping Our Stash and decided to make a monochromatic base … Read more

So Grateful

The January Stack-a-holic Challenge at DCWV has lots of layers.  I used papers from four different DCWV Collections to create my design (Gauze Paper Stack, The Autumn Melody Matstack, Tattered Time Matstack, and the Performance Matstack). Fusion Challenge ~ Poppies

When I saw this week's Fusion Card Challenge, I knew I wanted to embrace the poppies. The Colorful Life Stack from DCWV is filled with poppies.  I used a piece of the 8×8" stack for my card base and detail cut one of the larger flowers and attached it along the top edge with foam … Read more

Go On With Your BAD SELF

I'm having a little fun tonight with the Runway Challenge / CAS(E) this Sketch combo challenge. For some reason, this stamp from Mama Elephant's Hustle was calling my name.  I combined it with glitterg paper from DCWV and a texty Studio Calico design. And a sock monkey with big red lips and a crown seemed … Read more

Embrace This Life

I wanted to get a card in the mail to encourage someone battling breast cancer.  Rather than the usual pink, I decided to use the colors from this week's Paper Players Challenge. I love the sparkle of the DCWV glittery gold paper.  Sentiment is Cancer Is … from DRS Designs.  Flair is Lovely Words from … Read more
