Woodblock Sympathy

I needed to restock my sympathy card stash, and Amy T’s Woodblock Wednesday was the perfect opportunity to pull out an old favorite woodblock Thoughts Are With You sentiment from Stampabilities.

The Sketch at The Paper Players also takes me back to one I often used in my time of regular woodblock stamping. Those of you who started when the MISTI and acrylic stamps were the norm have no idea the anxiety of finishing with stamping a woodblock sentiment when your card was already assembled (thankfully on this one, I got it on the first try and didn’t have to tear everything apart).

Since I went back to an old school stamp, I also pulled out an old school binder border punch for the left side of the card. My focal flowers are a Berry Bouquet Doodle-Pops from Doodlebug Design. I love how the sentiment looks like handwriting.

    • …sorry about that…can you imagine jumping into crafting after the fun of Woodblock Stamps, no die cutters, no mini misti….

This is a gorgeous card and love that sentiment stamp. Do you use a Stamp-a-ma-jig?

Thanks for playing along with Woodblock Wednesday. I’ll go ahead and link you up.
