When I saw that the Addicted to CAS Code Word was Purple and the CAS on Friday theme was SEA, I knew I wanted to combine the two.
My sister’s favorite color is purple … and she loves an Octopus, so I knew where I was headed.
I also took my inspiration from the movie Remarkably Bright Creatures for the Movie Challenge at TIME OUT Challenges.
I die cut this Octopus from Scrapbook.com Coastal Charm from two colors of purple and added some googlie eyes. I felt like I needed a bit more of a “sea” feel, but wanted to keep it CAS, so I die cut a GelliArts print that had both teal and purple using the Memory Box Knotted Circle Wreaths, which left lots of white space.
I finished with a sentiment from Simon says Stamp! Basic Trio by CZ Design die cut from both colors of purple and layered with a shadow.
