One of the super-fun techniques Bev and I tried at Alabama Art Camp was painting masking tape.
We painted different widths of masking tape that we had attached to wax paper with watercolors. After they dried, we came back with acyrlic markers and did lots of mark making. The technique was inspired by Shemi Dixon.
It was such a freeing art creating experience … and now I have lots of tape to use on envelopes and future cards.
So night I used the wide green tape to make a Christmas Card for the Memory Box Christmas in July Challenge.
I attached a the tape to a kraft card base and since there was metallic gold paint in the tape pattern, I die cut the Memory Box Corner Holly Swirl from Gold Cardstock and positioned it over the tape.
I added matt red enamel dots for the holly “berries” and finished with a Memory Box Merry Christmas Foil Greetings Rose Tab sentiment.
