Hello Kitty Artist

On my recent trip, I stopped in a few thrift stores including Out of the Closet in Columbus where I found a Hello Kitty reader. Unfortunately, quite a few of the pages had been “colored” with pens, but there were enough intact pages that I picked it up hoping to do some fussy cutting for a few cards.

I started by cutting out the kittie with her easel. Then I hunted through the book to find her a friend that was about the same size to put my card together. Since I didn’t want to try to cut out the blue at the base of the flowers, I just used that color of cardstock for my card base.

I added a strip of kraft cardstock for the flooring, and I finished with a stamped sentiment from Artsy Fartsy by The Sassy Club, which I realized had the same Kitty and easel.

I love how it turned out.

I’m linking my cuties up at the Anything But Birthday at the Sweet Stampin’ Challenge.
