Flat Feliz Navidad is still our theme at Jingle Belles where we’re creating Flat One Layer cards. Last week I used stencils, this week I got stampy.
I started by creating a mask using the next to largest Hero Arts 5-Point Stars Infinity Die and a scrap of thin cardstock. I used three colors of Distres Oxide Ink – Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade – to create the star shape on the card front. I splashed a bit of water onto the ink while the mask was still in place to give the solid shape a bit more interest.
I stamped the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Bold Tidings 3 Sentiment in Black Ink centered over the star.
I finished with a couple of stamped holly leaves from Hero Greetings Christmas Messages, using a red gel pen to fill in the berries. This will be perfect for one of the many masculine cards I need for the holidays.
