Adventures Across Ohio

After visiting family, we made several stops in Ohio as we worked our way westward.

We started our first destination a lovely house in Hocking Hills State Park. When I had mentioned to a friend the stops I had planned, she send me links to several guest houses in this lovely park, so we decided to add a stop there to our list. I was a dreary, rainy drive, so not great for photos, but we stayed in the Rock Cabin at Hugga Retreats. It was nice to be able to do a load of laundry and make our own supper.

The next day, we headed to the Columbus Museum of Art.

I absolutely loved this Nick Cave piece.

And this Picasso.

This piece was so large … so sad … and so striking. The background is a photo of one of the actual internment camps.

You know I love text in my art.

And this wire sculpture was so cool viewed from all of the different angles.

Our next stop was Canton, where we visited the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Our favorite part was the movie in the Locker Room. Loved this quote too.

Then we checked-off another Presidential Library from our list with President McKinley.

I really enjoyed learning about several summer star events in the Hoover Price Planetarium.

We ended our day with a lovely outdoor meal at Eadie’s Fish House.

We continued westward the next morning to Cooperstown, New York.
