Have Yourself a Snowy Little Christmas

We’re still Walking in a Winter Wonderland at Jingle Belles … creating cards that features snow.

For this week’s card, I started with the Penny Black Geometric Embossing Folder on white cardstock … I thought it sort of looked like tiny snowflakes.

Next, I chose a lovely snowy scene from one of the Penny Black Masterpieces Made Simple Home for Christmas. I loved the little pop of red, so I used the Penny Black Stitches of Love Creative Frame Dies on red cardstock. I trimmed down the image, so the embossed texture worked like a frame. Next I found a scrap of plaid paper that both mimiced the design of the embossed texture and pulled out the colors of the leaves.

I attached the framed panel with foam tape and finished with a sentiment from Penny Black Banner Sentiments.

The Penny Black Saturday Challenge has an option of using your favorite stamp … those Banner sentiments are so versatile and the finishing touch on a lot of my cards.
