Peace on EARTH DAY

It’s time for Earth Day in 2026, so at Jingle Belles we’re supporting the cause by creating with recycled elements – hence, Peace on EARTH DAY.

I have a spot in my gift closet that I save to keep recycled things throughout the year that are too pretty to go into the recyle bin, so they might find themselves as part of a card in the future.

For today’s card, I chose a image die cut from one of last year’s Christmas cards I received paired with Tim Holtz Idea-ogy packaging cut with a stiched square die cut (seriously, I think he designs it with the intent of it being reused).

I paired it with red glitter card base to bring out the foiled metallic red elements in the image (and of course I cut a square out of the center fo the glitter that is covered-up to use on a future card.

I finished with a stamped, die cut, and matted Taylored Expressions Simple STrips – Christmas sentiment I had in my UFO bin. Positioned at the base of the circle,it almost makes it look like a snow globe.
