We’re still creating with vintage or faux-vintage products at Jingle Belles this week.
I started with a photograph of Poinsettias from the 1979 Christmas Ideals Magazine. My Gran always had Ideals on the table in the formal sitting room at her home, and I loved sneaking in and looking through them (kiddos were pretty much banished tot the downstairs family room), so this card reminds me of her.
I cut the image into 5/8″ strips and cut them apart using the Sketch from Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers on a green card base.

Next, I paired it with a faux vintage poinsettia image from Tim Holtz Vintage Christmas Paper Dolls Christmas 2023 that I die cut using Spellbinders Essential Stylish Oval Dies.

I finished with a Tim Holtz Label Sticker Sentiment.
And remember, one lucky participant will win some awesome vintage Christmas goodies from Lauren’s awesome Etsy Store Just Enough Stuff.
This is awesome, Stephanie!! Love the background you created and the poinsettias… beautiful! Thanks for sharing with the {BYSHC} Spring into Christmas Linky Party!
Beautiful! Love the paper!
Fabulous & pretty take on the sketch. I’ve saved images from calendars … now I have an idea for them! Thanks for the inspiration.
What a great card! Great take on the sketch, I love how it looks like bricks. Yes, I remember those Ideal mags, I may have had one or two. Such a gorgeous poinsettia!
