When I turned 13, for my birthday I got to update my bedroom and pick the colors … and I chose Navy and Pink. My Gran made me a new Navy Bedspread with pink flowers. Even my walls were painted pink (much to my sister’s chagrin as she later had to live in what she named the Pepto Bismal Bedroom).
So of course, I had to join the Navy and Fuschia Color Hue Challenge.

I thought I would use some GelliArts prints for the design, but ultimately decided on a Fuschia GelliArts print that I paired with Navy Cardstock using this week’s Freshly Made Sketch.

I cut the sentiment from a piece of designer paper and attached a Tim Holtz Transparent Wings Butterfly topped with some fucshia gems.

So wonderful to have that lovely fuchsia GelliArts print on hand! You’ve put it to good use with the sketch and the pretty butterfly as an accent. Thanks for sharing with us at Color Hues!
What a beautiful Gelli print and a great take on the sketch! Thanks for linking this up to Freshly Made Sketches this week!
This is such a great card! I love that navy and pink combo! That paper is fantastic and I love the butterfly accent! Thanks for joining us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!
I bet your bedroom was absolutely dreamy at that age, Stephanie! Terrific Gelliprints and the butterfly adds the touch of softness to the design. Thank you so much for sharing with us at Color Hues!
Stef, I love that your bedroom were these colors as a child. How cool must that have been and I met you were the envious of all of your friends. I love your CAS Design and thanks for playing at Color Hues.
